P1020 ingots
Our ingots are used for remelting in a wide range of industries. Ingots are produced by casting molten aluminum in permanent molds, known as shells, under controlled cooling conditions.
Main applications: Foundry, rolling and deoxidation industries.

P1020 , containing 99.7% aluminum, 0.1% silicon, and 0.2% iron max. P1010 , containing 99.8% aluminum, 0.1% silicon, and 0.1% iron max. Aluminum-silicon alloys for wheel manufacturers.
Alloy ingots
We are Brazil’s leading producer of alloy ingots. The aluminum-silicon in its composition is what primarily distinguishes this type of ingot from P1020 ingots.

Billets
We produce billets with a superior surface finish and a more uniform and fine-grained internal structure than conventional billets. We use Wagstaff AirSlip® air casting technology and degassing, filtering and grain refining treatments.
Main applications: production of profiles, which can be used in the manufacture of windows, doors, gates and road implements.

Metalex processes scrap and ingots into billets made of different alloys and with different lengths and diameters.
Rod
We make rod products using the Properzi process of centrifugal casting, which gives an approximately circular cross section. Molten aluminum is transformed into bars, compressed in the rolling process and then coiled using a standard OTT - Jumbo Coil system.
Main applications: production of cables and wires.
